Organised by the Te Aroha Business Association, the “Aroha Cruise In” is a time to show case our awesome town, Te Aroha. What better way to do it than with Classic cars, bikes and hot rods held in the main street of Te Aroha, Waikato. This event allows local schools and groups to fundraise! Come and be a part of our day with prizes, live bands, rock and roll dancing, street performers, bouncy castle, stalls, and much more make this a day not to be missed! A gold coin donation for public entry.
Wow, what an amazing day the 2019 Cruise In was!! The rain held off (even though the rest of the Waikato wasn’t so lucky) we had record numbers of show vehicles and visitors were lining the streets. Over 750 show vehicles, and it’s hard to say how many people we had in the town but it was absolutely jam packed. Another hugely successful year! Bring on 2020!!!
Brief History of the Aroha Cruise In
The Aroha Cruise In was started in 2007 by two local men who were car enthusiasts, musicians and proud Te Aroha people. Their mission was to put on an event that showcased not only the classic cars, bikes and hot-rods on display but also the town. Volunteers formed a committee made up of local business people and Te Aroha identities and the Aroha Cruise In was formed.
After five years, the committee of volunteers found the event getting bigger than they were able to give time to, so the 5th event may have been the last. The Te Aroha Business Association did not want to lose the event and took over the running of Aroha Cruise In
